Battle Area Clearance (BAC):

Battle Area Clearance (BAC) operations mainly require different procedures than those used in landmine clearance operations. BAC operation is the removal of hazardous items from an area of land either on the surface or subsurface. Such a capability shall include the preparation of appropriate procedures for neutralization and disarming, the use of well trained and qualified operators and EOD specialists, and the use of effective and safe equipment.
